IT’S on with the reunion.

Coach Baby Dalupan, who had begged off to attend a family affair, yesterday confirmed during the weekly SCOOP Forum at the Kamayan West his willingness to coach Crispa in its much-awaited reunion against Toyota on May 30 at the Araneta Coliseum.

Boomy Guerrero, Dalupan’s grandson, first called SCOOP president Eddie Alinea to say his grandfather would like to coach the Redmanizers.

Later, it was Dalupan himself, owner of 13 PBA titles, who made an overseas call to Alinea to confirm his attendance.

Dalupan, vacationing in California, had earlier said he may not be able to grace the PBA affair as he has to be in Negros with his wife for a very important family affair that’s held every four years.

Joy Dionisio, the first player to score a basket while playing for Concepcion in the 1975 PBA inaugural game versus Noritake, will also don the Crispa colors, together with his former teammates.

The Crispa-Toyota game on May is a main attraction in the All-Star Reunion.

Meanwhile, at least six foreign teams have confirmed willingness to join the PBA Invitationals. Commissioner Noli Eala said these squads are from Canada, Korea, Australia, Europe and the US.
